Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get

Yes this is what you think it is, although we don't have a scanner so I just took a picture of it and downloaded it, there will be better pictures later on. 2 weeks ago we found out that I was pregnant!! Very shocked and very excited, I think it is still sinking into my brain. This is baby buttress taken today, 8 weeks 2 days. Everything looks great so far, this is our 3rd ultrasound because I am nervous so they let me come in every week to check on the baby. The heartbeat is now at 168. We are seeing our fertility doctor at this point and had our first appointment with the OBGYN today as well. Once I am 10 weeks our fertility doctor will release me to my OBGYN, there I wont be as lucky to get an u/s every week. This happened all natural, no medicine, no doctors, no IVF just us two. So you can imagine our shock when the HPT came up positive. We have a long way to go but are just so thrilled about this news that we wanted to share it with you all. Also of course we have been faced with a very difficult decision of weather or not we were going to continue the adoption. This weighed heavily on our minds as soon as we found out I was preggo. After much thought and discussion between ourselves and our agency we have decided not to go forward with the boys at this point. There are many reasons why but I am not going to list them all on the blog, but please feel free to ask us and we will explain how we came to this decision. We had to do what was best for the boys and for the health of me and our unborn baby. I believe everything happens for a reason (well almost everything), and though we may not understand why at the time, eventually it all falls into place. We will keep you posted as this pregnancy progresses and hopefully have better u/s pictures next time around. Thank you all for your continued love and support!!

A little info

I know that it has been a few weeks since our last post but we have had a lot going on, craziness. I will fill everyone in on the details when we have come to a final decision on everything. Lets just say that life is full of surprises, which we are thankful for. We will fill you all in very soon. Take care!!

Nothing Still

Still no travel dates, they keep saying any day now, any time now, blah blah blahhh. I know they are doing everything they can, so we continue to wait! Thank goodness I didn't hold my breath, hehe. We have a busy weekend and up coming week with work etc...so this should help me to stay sane for a week or so. OK not likely but sounded good. We are going to Dave Matthews tonight, as we do every summer. I think this is our 6th or 7th year going, kind of tradition now.

We hope to have some more progress on our garage next week, oh yeah and having carpet installed. Still have not heard from them, they told me it should be installed this week, like 2 weeks ago, again relying on others, a part of life right! It's all going to come together at once and then we will be racing around like crazy people.

Mimi Update

We were told yesterday by our agency that we should have a travel date this week, I know I wrote the same thing last week b/c that is what they told us. We know that our dossier has been 100% translated and we are just WAITING for Russia to invite us to travel to their country and meet our boys for the first time. I am crawling out of my skin with hopes of every time my phone rings it will be our agency with our travel dates. I have not bothered them today but if we don't here anything in the morning I will be calling them again, don't you know they love me! Oh well, I don't care just give me a travel date already and I will stop calling, hehe. I know they can only do so much and they are waiting as well. Michael continues to be extremely patient as usual because he is the normal one and I am the crazy one. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to blog our travel dates but I won't hold my breath, if I do I may be found on the floor unconscious from waiting for so long. :)

Front View

Heres is the front view of the new garage, standing from the road!! YEAH!! Now I feel like we are getting somewhere.

Let the building begin!

The guys are here working today, FINALLY!! Here are a few snap shots of a work in progress. The girlies are doing a good job of barking and making sure the guys do their jobs. These views are taken from our existing garage, facing east. I will get some different angles later this afternoon when they leave. There are to many trucks in the way.

Venting

OK, so I have been having a few bad days, I never imagined the waiting process would be this taxing on me. I decided that I would do some blogging, that's what is for right? I think I am a little peeved at the lack of communication our agency fails at from time to time, OK I take that back I am more than a little peeved. Last Monday, we were told that we should receive a travel date that week but heard NOTHING! Don't you think that they would of called us on Thursday and said something like, hi we have not heard yet and tomorrow is a holiday, so we will be in touch Monday. I guess that is asking to much for a 5 sec. phone call. I keep reading all these other blogs about how some regions are closed or others travel dates got pushed back a few times, so of course I start stressing and think the worst. I know it will only get more crazy when we get back from our first trip after meeting the boys and having to leave them, while waiting on our 2nd travel date to go back and go to court! Patience! Yeah yeah yeah, I know the word and have been practicing it for the past 30 plus months! It will all be worth it in the end, this I know too. Michael has been great and anxious as well to get a travel date, but of course handling himself much better than his wife! (that crazy lady). The dresser for the boys room came yesterday and is sitting in the garage along with the beds until the new carpet gets put in this week. We have hung some curtians and a few pictures and the bathroom stuff I have sitting in bags still. I refuse to do anything else until we get back from our first trip to Russia. We will keep you posted this week, fingers and toes crossed!

King of the world!

The guys dropped of something special in our yard the other day, if any of you would like this in your yard don't hesitate to call us!! Everyone needs a bathroom break!

Michael is also inspecting the project from this nice view, we hope some more work gets done this week.
