I had my retrieval yesterday and things went well. I had some medium cramping and bleeding but I am feeling better now and the bleeding has stopped. They retrieved 10 eggs yesterday. We just got a call from the embryologist to let us know that out of those 10 eggs 6 were mature and 5 fertilized. So they will call us on Sunday to let us know what time to be there for the transfer on Monday. Hopefully all of these embies will make it to day 5 and they can transfer 2 and we can freeze the rest. Our doctor told us they are treating these has "high risk" embryos and put them in a special liquid, with hopes that this will give them the best chance to survive. This is the tough part for me, wondering if they are going to call and tell us if we lost 1 or 2 or whatever but I have to tell myself I have done my part and there is nothing else I can do at this point, it is out of our hands. We will post something when we know something! Go embies goooooo.
On another note we have ventured back into stocking the Koi Pond, and got 2 more additions last night, so we are now up to 4 Koi and 2 alge sucker fish. I have named 2 of the 4 Koi, Malikai and Tulula and will work on the others name today!! The doggies are doing well and like having mom home with them during the day. I am off work until the 12th, keeping my body relaxed and stress free (as much as I can). Michael is out of the office for the most part and on his new job site, doing an addition to an elementary school in Royal Palm Beach. Stay tuned.....
To our friends and family we hope this will be a great way to keep in touch with all of you. Enjoy and write often and let us know how life has been treating you. Love, Laugh, & Live life to it's fullest!

Retrieval Date Set
After waiting until 7pm tonight, we got the call that we are a go for Wednesday for retrieval. I have about 8 follicles but I think they will only get about 6 since the other 2 are smaller, but we will see. My lining went up from 9.0 to 11.3 so that is good. My estrogen however was at 761 and they wanted it to be 900 to 1000. Don't they know by now that I can't give them what they want, hehe. So as soon as they called they told me to take one last dose of my medicine and then take my HCG at 11pm tonight. So we are trying hard to stay awake for the next 40 minutes. The HCG shot for those of you that don't know is what triggers my ovulation. So we have to be at the doctors by 9am and retrieval is set for 10am on Wednesday Jan. 30th. We will update the blog as soon as we get a chance to let everyone know how things went and how many eggs they got and so on. Fingers and toes and everything else crossed that this time we get it.

Doctors Visit
We went back to the doctors this am and my estrogen went up from 134 to 379, so that is good but still low and slow, but as long as it keeps going up we are fine. I have only 4 to 6 follicles at this point, with the lead follicle at 16 and the smallest at 10. So fingers crossed that we get 6 during retrieval. I know it only takes one, but after what happened last time, I feel better with 6 vs 4. We go back on Monday at 9am and will do the same thing again. We won't find out the level until the afternoon and what the game plan will be. Stay tuned....

Update
Went back to the doctors yesterday and my lining is at an 8.3 now so that is good and my estrogen went to 134, which is better but still below what they like. I have about 10 to 12 follicles now, a few dropped off but we will know more Sat. when we go back for another check. He has added 2 more medications so I am now on 3 different types and a higher dose. Michael says I will definitely get more kooky. I am off work now taking it easy and continuing with my acupuncture. Whatever it takes to have baby. We also attempted to restock our koi pond, so we have 2 right now and will get a few more this weekend. Have not named them yet but working on it. Luca finds the koi fun to watch, hopefully that's all she will do, hehe. Madison and Kona don't realize whats in there yet, but they will. Let you know what tomorrow brings.

IVF Round Two
Hi there, it has been a few weeks since we have updated the blog. We have been busy with work and catching up with old friends. I have been on my shots for 3 1/2 days and we had our first doctors appointment this am. I have a possible 16 follicles to recruit and my lining was at a 4.3, but my estrogen was only at 67, which is disappointing. They like it to be at 100 by this time, but my doc wants me to stay at the same dosage of medicine until we go back on Thursday, so hes the boss and that's what we will do. I hope to have better news on Thursday and those follicles wake up. I am scheduled for my retrieval on the 30th, but we will see. See you all Thursday.
