Fragile X
Just a quick update, I had a fragile X test done about 3 weeks ago, which is to see if I carried the gene that could increase our chance of birth defects but it was negative so that is a good sign, we just got the results back on Friday. Hope everyone is having a great holiday season, we will keep you posted!

Saw your post reference Fragile X testing, and just as a precaution I want to ensure that you are aware that only the direct DNA testing with PCR analysis should be used to detect FX in carriers.
Some doctors still use the old chromosome analysis test which has proven to be far too inaccurate, too many false negatives.
If your test results provided you with CGG repeat numbers, on both alleles (X chromosome), rest easy, they ran the correct tests, if not you might want to ask which test was performed.
